Thesis
We back dropouts, renegade students, and deep-tech scientists working on ideas that would appear in science fiction. We exist to prove that great founders don't need university degrees and are found in the oddest places. We invest at inception stage (R&D through Seed), providing capital, mentorship, community access, and operational support. People-first approach: it's more about the who than the what.
Likely not a fit for
We don't invest in traditional startup archetypes with MBA founders and pristine pedigrees. We avoid companies where the founder's resume is the thesis, late-stage companies (Series B+), companies without technical founder involvement, pure consumer social, or companies misaligned with founders' genuine interests.

Early-stage investor in deep-tech—AI, cybersecurity, quantum, robotics, space tech, synthetic biology—with rare bioengineering focus and technically deep partners who engage with complex product and R&D.
Early institutional backer that sources tech from academia and government labs, partnering with scientist- and engineer-led teams to deeply interrogate science, dual-use/defense opportunities, and amplify through an in-house media platform. Explicitly aims to "turn science fiction into science fact" by backing companies at the intersection of the new and the not-yet-imagined, built around scientists, engineers, and polymaths rather than traditional finance backgrounds who can deeply interrogate emerging science and complex tech. The firm systematically mines academia and government labs for "technological gems" and has become one of the earliest institutional backers of dual-use and defense technology.
Targets companies applying modern computation (AI, simulation) to agriculture, mining, manufacturing, health and defense, leveraging partners's hard-science and national-security expertise to navigate regulation and dual-use challenges.
Founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Innovation Endeavors invests exclusively at the intersection of three converging technical forces they call the Super Evolution — ubiquitous sensors, advanced machine learning and cloud systems, and robotics/3D printing/CRISPR. The firm runs an invite-only unconference called Curiosity Camp and operates a venture creation program that helps form founding teams before ideas exist rather than backing pre-packaged startups.
